This course aims to understand human ecology, including clothes, food, housing, and family. Faculties in each division teach through team-teaching. Specific topics in human development are reviewed and discussed from a human ecological perspective.
Child and Family Ecology
The goal of this course is to enable the student to understand Child and Family Studies. This course examines factors of the healthy and obstructive child and family development with a systematic view. The focus is on major topics in child development, historical perspectives of childhood, historical changes, and the diversities of family structure processes among different cultures.
The Study of the Fashion Industry
The aim is the increased understanding of the diverse division and jobs in the fashion industries. This course introduces the overall structure of apparel industry, including textiles, design, construction and marketing perspectives, as well as suggests the vision of the industry.
Food Nutrition and Diseases
This course is an introduction to major nutrients, which include concepts of energy balance, obesity and metabolic syndrome, diet therapy for weight control and physical fitness, and eating disorder, as well as the relationships among these nutrients, human life, growth, and degenerative diseases.

This class seeks an understanding of the housing environment and housing culture in current society with an examination of the relationships among home, housing, and housing culture.
